To prepare for the world of hockey decending upon Nottingham we set to work creating two dedicated accommodation booking websites using our free online accommodation booking service, Conference Bookings. One site for spectators and volunteers and the other for members of press. Each site offerd a good range of accommodation in order to suite all budgets, but most importantly, Conference Bookings gave visitors a convenient and safe way of browsing and booking accommodation.

Andy Melton, Conference Tourism Coordinator worked very closely with England Hockey and participating worldwide teams to ensure that members of the same hockey team were all housed in the same hotel. This was an effective way for the organisers to manage the teams.

Hotels across the city and city outskirts soon became full to capacity in the run up to the nine day event. This was fantastic news for local businesses and helped boost the Nottingham economy.

England Hockey took advantage of our free venue location service and we were happy to find and book suitable meeting rooms on their behalf.

The required a restaurant for a VIP evening dinner on the last evening so again, using our valuable free venue location service we presented several venue options and a decided to go with the award winning Tonic restaurant was made. We sourced entertainment with the help of our friends at Doub7e Seven who provided an excellent Jazz band. Doub7e Seven provides unique add-ons for events such as artists, room decor and magicians etc. The feedback on the evening from England Hockey was fantantastic. Everyone really enjoyed the great hospitality.
