One of the UK’s major motorways, the M1 runs the length of Nottinghamshire.
Nottinghamshire is easily accessible by road from most parts of the country. The M1 passes just six miles from the city centre and runs along the west side of the county. Excellent links with the A1, A52, A60 and A46 mean the city and county are easily reached, whatever part of the UK you’re coming from.

Nottingham’s closest international ferry terminal is Hull, just 1 hour 40 minutes from Nottingham city centre.
If you need to bring a lot of equipment from the continent, or your delegates prefer a more sedate mode of travel you can always take a ferry. Sailing from Holland, Belgium and Finland, a million passengers use Hull’s ferry services to the UK each year. It’s then less than a two hour drive from Hull to Nottinghamshire.

Nottinghamshire’s just as straight forward to get to by train at just 1 hour 46 minutes between London St. Pancras and Nottingham.
East Midlands Trains runs fast, frequent services to Nottingham throughout the East Midlands, including; London St Pancras, Leicester, Derby , East Midlands Parkway and Lincoln.
East Midlands Trains regional services link the towns and cities in the east midlands, plus central and northern England from Skegness, Norwich and Cambridge in the east, to Liverpool in the west.
Covering around 1,400 miles and calling at over 100 stations from Aberdeen to Penzance, CrossCountry Trains is one of the most extensive rail networks in the UK.
East Coast Trains has regular services to Retford and Newark, providing fast connections to London, Leeds, York, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Paris to Nottingham in less than five hours.

For domestic, European and international flights, Nottinghamshire is well served by a range of regional airports.
The award winning East Midlands Airport is just 14 miles from Nottingham and can be reached quickly by taxi or on the frequent Skylink bus service to the city centre. A pre-bookable taxi service operates between the airport and East Midlands Parkway train station.
